Let \(F\) denote a CM number field, and let \(\pi\) stand for a cuspidal polarizable regular algebraic automorphic representation of \(\mathrm{GL}_n(\mathbb{A}_F)\). We let \(G\) denote a reductive groups over \(F\). Let \(p\) be a prime number and let \(\iota: \overline{\mathbb{Q}}_p \rightarrow \mathbb{C}\) stand for an isomorphism. Then there exists an associated Galois representation \(r_{\pi, \iota}: G_F \rightarrow \mathrm{GL}_n(\overline{\mathbb{Q}}_p)\). For polarizable \(\pi\), the Galois representation \(r_{\pi, \iota}\) is conjugate self-dual up to a twist, so \(\mathrm{Ad} ~ r_{\pi, \iota}\) extends to a representation of \(G_{F^+}\) on \(M_n(\overline{\mathbb{Q}}_p)\). This defines the associated adjoint Bloch-Kato Selmer group \(H^1_f(F^+, \mathrm{Ad}~ r_{\pi, \iota})\). Under the assumption that the restriction of \(r_{\pi, \iota}\) to \(G_{F(\zeta_{p^{\infty}})}\) is irreducible, the author proves that \(H^1_f(F^+, \mathrm{Ad}~ r_{\pi, \iota})\) vanishes. This strengthens previously known result, where the vanishing of the adjoint Selmer group was obtained under the assumption that \(r_{\pi, \iota}(G_{F(\zeta_{p^{\infty}})})\) contains enough regular semisimple elements.
