The authors study the phase retrieval problem for the Weyl-Heisenberg representation \(\pi: \hat G \times G \rightarrow U(L^2(G))\) where \(G\) is a non-Archimedean local field with residue characteristic \(2\), and \(\hat G\) is a Pontryagin dual of \(G\) \((\pi(u^\ast,u)f(v)=u^\ast(v)f(uv))\). They show that the Weyl-Heisenberg representation \(\pi\) does a phase retrieval by explicitly constructing maximal spanning vectors in \(L^2(G)\).
