The authors prove two main results which are uniform versions of classical results in analytic number theory. The first gives an asymptotic result for a complete lattice (a free \({\mathbb Z}\) module of rank \(d\) in \(d\) dimensional Euclidean space) inside the \(d\)-sphere of a given radius. The second result uses a method of Landau to obtain asymptotics for the partial sum \(\sum_{x < X} a(n)\) with power saving error terms, where \(\phi(s) = \sum_n a(n) n^{-s}\) is a well-behaved zeta function. Several implications of these results are also given.
