A modification of the homotopy perturbation (HP) technique by coupling it with the Laplace transform (LT), i.e., HPLM is presented to approximate the solutions of boundary value problems (BVPs). HPLM is simple and easy computable to approximate linear and nonlinear BVPs with wide finite domain in comparison with other techniques, producing results that are generally in good agreement for the given range. Numerical solutions show overall the same trends as in the previous numerical investigation of BVPs. The proposed method exploits full advantage of homotopy perturbation method and Laplace transform and does not need to solve recurrence differential equations. Moreover, the HPLM converges to exact solutions with the fewest number of iterations, and it represents reliable modification with good precision
