For a field \(\mathbb{F}\) and a group \(G\), let \(\mathbb{F}G\) be the group algebra, and let \(\mathcal{U}(\mathbb{F}G)\) denote the unit group of \(\mathbb{F}G\). In this paper, the authors consider the finite field \(\mathbb{F}=\mathbb{F}_{p^k}\) when \(p=2\) or \(3\), and the special linear group \(G=\mathrm{SL}(2, \mathbb{Z}_3)\). In this case, they obtain the Wedderburn decomposition of \(\mathbb{F}G/\mathrm{J}(\mathbb{F}G)\), and show that the group \(1+\mathrm{J}(\mathbb{F}G)\) is non-abelian. As a corollary, the structure unit group \(\mathcal{U}(\mathbb{F}G)\) is determined.
