The author answers an open question about the structure of the core, a notion introduced by \textit{T. Harz} et al. [Math. Z. 286, No. 3--4, 987--1002 (2017; Zbl 1386.32030)], by constructing a class of strictly pseudoconvex domains in \(\mathbb{C}^2\) whose core is not pluripolar, and moreover, has nonempty interior. In the last section, the author makes some further interesting observations.
