On the automorphisms of Mukai varieties (Q2118194)

Mukai varieties are Fano varieties of coindex \(3\). They play an important role in the classification of Fano varieties. The article that we review here calculates the automorphism groups of some Mukai varieties of genus \(7, 8, 9, 10\). Together with the results in [\textit{Y. Prokhorov} and \textit{M. Zaidenberg}, Eur. J. Math. 4, No. 3, 1197--1263 (2018; Zbl 1423.14244)] and [\textit{M. Sato} and \textit{T. Kimura}, Nagoya Math. J. 65, 1--155 (1977; Zbl 0321.14030)], the calculation in the reviewed article gives a complete table of automorphism groups of generic Mukai varieties of genus \(7, 8, 9, 10\). In the appendix of this article, the automorphism group of a general prime Fano threefold of genus of \(12\) is calculated to be trivial. As a corollary, the automorphism group of a general prime Fano threefold of genus \(g \geq 7\) is trivial.
