A parallelohedron is a convex polyhedron that admits face-to-face tilings of the Euclidean space with its translates. There are five types of 3-dimensional parallelohedra, which were found by \textit{E. S. Fedorov} in [``Начала учения о фигурах'' (Russian), Zap. Mineral. Ob. 21, No. 2, 1--279 (1885)]. The paper is devoted to isoperimetric-type problems for 3-dimensional parallelohedra. A new representation of 3-dimensional parallelohedra is proposed and used. The main result is related to mean width, which is a measure of the ``size'' of a body. It states that among 3-dimensional parallelohedra of unit volume, regular truncated octahedra have minimal width. Also some old and new open problems are listed.
