A nonlinear system of delay differential equations with two variable delays and a Lipschitz nonlinearity is considered: \[ \dot x(t)=Ax(t)+\sum_{i=1}^2A_{d_i}x(t-d_i(t))+\sum_{i=1}^2F_i(t,x(t-d_i(t))) \] where \(A\), \(A_{d_i}\) are constant matrices and \(A\) is negative definite. It is assumed that the time-dependent delays are bounded and their derivatives are less than unity. Two theorems are presented with some sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability of the zero solution of the system. The conditions are obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities using quadratic Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals and well-known inequalities. Two numerical examples are given. The authors claim that ``The presented results make contributions to the qualitative theory of DDEs and improve some results known from the modern literature'', but, unfortunately, they do not specify the contribution and the place of the obtained results among the available ones.
