In this paper, the authors consider the following damped vibration system with \(p\)-Laplacian \[ \frac{d}{dt}\Big(\left|\dot{u}(t)\right|^{p-2}\dot{u}(t)\Big)+q(t)\left|\dot{u}(t)\right|^{p-2}\dot{u}(t)-a(t)\left|u(t)\right|^{p-2}u(t)+\nabla W(t,u(t))=0,\tag{1} \] where \(p>1\), \(q,a\in C(\mathbb{R},\mathbb{R})\), \(W\in C(\mathbb{R}\times\mathbb{R}^{N},\mathbb{R})\) is with combined nonlinearities and \(\nabla W(t,x)\) is the gradient of \(W(t,x)\) with respect to \(x\). Applying the Mountain Pass Theorem and its generalization to the energy functional associated to (1), they study under suitable conditions on \(q\), \(a\), \(W\) the existence and multiplicity of fast homoclinic solutions for (1), i.e., solutions belonging to a suitable Sobolev space associated to (1).
