In this interesting paper the author studies the finiteness of the set of integer solutions of the Diophantine equation \[ F(x,y)=\Pi_{K}(l), \] where irreducible factors of \(F\) satisfies certain technical (but relatively weak) assumptions, \(K\) is a number field, \(\Pi_{K}(l)=\prod\mathfrak{R}\mathfrak{a}\) and the product is taken along ideals \(\mathfrak{a}\) satisfying \(\mathfrak{R}\mathfrak{a}\leq l\), where \(\mathfrak{R}\mathfrak{a}=\#\mathcal{O}_{K}/\mathfrak{a}\) and \(\mathcal{O}_{K}\) is the ring of integers of \(K\). Here \(\Pi_{K}(l)\) is the so called Bhargava factorial which is a generalization of the classical factorial. As an application, a finiteness result of Berend and Harmse concerning the number of integer solutions of the equation \(F(x,y)=l!\), where \(F\in\mathbb{Z}[x,y]\) is an irreducible homogeneous polynomial of degree 2, is reproved.
