In this paper, the authors consider the space of Drinfeld cusps forms of level \(\mathfrak{mp}\), that is, for the modular group \(\Gamma_0 (\mathfrak{mp})\), where \(\mathfrak{m}\) is an ideal of \({\mathcal O}= {\mathbb F}_q[t]\), \(\mathfrak{p}=(P)\) is a prime ideal of \({\mathcal O}\) such that \(\mathfrak{p}\nmid\mathfrak{m}\) and \(\Gamma_0(\mathfrak{mp})=\Big\{\Big( \begin{array}{cc} a&b\\ c& d\end{array}\Big)\colon c\equiv 0\bmod \mathfrak{mp}\Big\}\). In the study of classical modular forms, a basic topic is the splitting of \(S_k(\Gamma_0(N))\) for a general level \(N\in{\mathbb Z}\) as {\em old forms}, those coming from a lower level \(M|N\) and {\em new forms} as the orthogonal complement of the space of old forms with respect to the Petersson inner product. In the positive characteristic case, there is no such inner product. In [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 147, No. 10, 4171--4187 (2019; Zbl 1450.11044)], the authors defined old forms and new forms of level \(t\). In the present work, the authors define \(\mathfrak{p}\)-old forms and \(\mathfrak{p}\)-new forms and prove that both are stable under the Atkin operator \(U_P\). Finally, the authors provide the eigen-values of the \(\mathfrak{p}\)-old forms and of the \(\mathfrak{p}\)-new forms and a condition to obtain the whole space of cusp forms as a direct sum of them.
