A unified method to compute free and forced vibrations of stiffened plates with reinforced ribs having different angles under classical and elastic boundary conditions is presented in this paper. Introduction of sine auxiliary functions overcomes the discontinuities of the original displacement function on the boundary. Different boundary conditions of the grillage can be easily simulated by assigning proper values to spring on the edge. Various connected relations between stiffeners and plates can also be realized through similar approaches. An experiment on forced vibrations of rectangular multi-level stiffened plates has been conducted to verify the effectiveness of the current method for forced vibration of stiffened plates. The numerical results of the current method are found to be in good agreement with the peak value of the experiment. A large number of data is presented both in tabular form and graphical form. These data can be used directly by design engineers.
