The paper presents a nonlocal linearized model for porous elastic materials. The configuration is described by the deformation and the volume fraction field (related to the presence of voids in the bulk). The second gradients of both variables feature in the constitutive relations. The PDE system is composed of two hyperbolic equations with two parameters related to nonlocal terms. The authors consider the case of dimension one and study well-posedness and exponential decay of the system. The approach is based on nonlinear semigroups and monotone operators.
