An algebra is called Noetherian (Artinian) if the family of all its ideals satisfies the ascending (respectively, descending) chain condition. A topological algebra is an \(F\)-algebra if it is complete and metrizable with jointly continuous multiplication. The main idea of the paper is to find some sufficient conditions under which a Noetherian algebra \(A\) can be equipped in a unique way with a topology that makes it an \(F\)-algebra. The authors prove that the conditions that \(A\) is unital and commutative such that every maximal ideal of \(A\) is of codimension \(1\) is sufficient for that cause. Its special case is the case when \(A\) is a commutative unital locally convex \(F\)-algebra. They also show that if there exists a commutative unital Noetherian algebra which can be equipped with two different topologies making it an \(F\)-algebra, then there also exists an Artinian algebra that can be equipped with two different topologies making it an \(F\)-algebra. Some classes of algebras are also described for whch the fact that all ideals are closed is equivalent to the fact that all finite codimensional ideals are closed.
