A Noetherian ring \(R\) of characteristic \(p>0\) is weakly \(F\)-regular if for all \(R\)-module \(M\), the finitely generated submodules of \(M\) are all tightly closed. Whereas, \(R\) is strongly \(F\)-regular if all submodules of any \(R\)-module \(M\) are tightly closed. This paper expands the class of rings where the weak implies strong conjecture holds. Before the results in this paper, the conjecture was only known for standard graded algebras over a field and rings of dimension at most 3. The authors show that there are a large class of four dimensional rings weakly \(F\)-regular rings \(R\) which are also strongly \(F\)-regular. The proof relies on the boundedness of some local cohomology bounds which are developed in Section 3.
