Let \(f\colon S\to B\) be a surjective morphism from a smooth surface \(S\) to a smooth curve \(B\) whose general fibre \(F\) is a non-hyperelliptic smooth curve of genus \(4\). If we further assume that \(F\) is Eisenbud-Harris general (i.e. it admits two distinct pencils of degree \(3\)) it is known [\textit{K. Konno}, Adv. Stud. Pure Math. 56, 35--38 (2009; Zbl 1196.14014)] that \[ K_{S/B}^2=\frac{7}{2}\deg f_*\mathcal{O}_S(K_{S/B})+\frac{k}{2} \] where \(k/2\) is the sum of the Horikawa indexes of the fibres of \(f\). In a previous article [\textit{T. Takahashi}, Math. Nachr. 286, No. 4, 402--429 (2013; Zbl 1271.14053)] the author has given a complete classification of these surfaces when \(k=0\) and the genus of \(B\) is smaller than or equal to \(1\). In this paper it is studied the case \(k=1\) and \(B=\mathbb{P}^1_\mathbb{C}\) and a classification is given. The case where \(B\) is an elliptic curve has been studied in [\textit{S. Ling}, Commun. Algebra 48, No. 2, 595--608 (2020; Zbl 1458.14055)]. In a similar way as in [\textit{T. Takahashi}, Math. Nachr. 286, No. 4, 402--429 (2013; Zbl 1271.14053)], it is shown that the vector bundle \(f_*\mathcal{O}_S\) is limited, that the relative canonical image \(S'\) of \(S\) is contained in a relative hyperquadric, so that an important tool is the calssifiction of relative hyperquadric. The author studies also the deformation of the families of surfaces presented in the article.
