The author studies the uniqueness of solutions for certain partial integro-differential equations with initial conditions in a Banach space. The results derived are new and based on Babenko's approach, convolution techniques and Banach contraction principle. The Babenko's approach treats integral operators like variables in solving differential and integral equations. The method itself is similar to the Laplace transform method in the ordinary sense, but it can be used in more general cases, as for example with integral or fractional differential equations with distributions whose Laplace transforms do not exist in the classical sense. Several examples are given to illustrate the results.
