In this paper, a mathematical model of the hepatitis A virus in central west Tunisia was proposed. The global stability of the equilibrium was obtained by using the Lyapunov function which depends on the value of the basic reproduction number \(R_0\). When \(R_0<1\), the disease-free equilibrium is globally stable; When \(R_0>1\), the disease-free equilibrium is unstable and the the endemic equilibrium is globally stable.
