After an introduction to fractional integral equations involving Riemann-Liouville fractional integrals the authors establish a new Darbo-type fixed point theorem. This allows them to discuss the existence of solutions for certain fractional integral equations. The last part of this work is devoted to the construction of a convergent iterative algorithm based on the modified homotopy perturbation method to find the solutions of given fractional integral equations.
