Let \(\Gamma_0^*(N)\) be the modular group of level \(N\) generated by all elements of \(\Gamma_0(N)\) and the involution \(\left(\begin{smallmatrix}0&-N \\ 1&0\end{smallmatrix}\right)\). For \(N=5\) and \(7\), the author proves that all zeros of the Eisenstein series of weight greater than or equal to \(4\) for \(\Gamma_0(N)^*\) on the standard fundamental domain lie on the lower boundary arc. This result is proved by the Rankin and Swinnerton-Dyer method used in the case \(\Gamma_0^*(1)=\mathrm{SL}_2(\mathbb Z)\) and by using the derivative to study the change of the sign near the points where the Rankin and Swinnerton-Dyer method cannot be applied.
