In this paper under review, the authors study the local structure of the free boundary in the fractional obstacle problem with non-zero obstacle. They show that if the obstacle is analytic, then the problem reduces to the zero obstacle case dealt in [\textit{M. Focardi} and \textit{E. Spadaro}, Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 230, No. 1, 125--184 (2018; Zbl 1405.35257)]. If the obstacle is in the class \(C^{k+1}(\mathbb R^n)\) for \(k\geq 2\), then similar results hold for those free boundary points at which the contact order of the solution with the obstacle is less than \(k+1\).
