The topic of this paper is closely related to the famous Leray problem: show the existence of steady state of the Navier-Stokes equations in a nozzle with prescribed far field asymptotics with large fluxes. The authors study the nonlinear stability of the Hagen-Poiseuille flows in an infinite pipe. Among ingredients of the proof, there are estimates of the partial Fourier transform of the stream function, and a boundary layer analysis of solutions with large flux.
