The wave packet transform is defined as the Fourier transform of a signal windowed with a given wavelet. This transform is later generalized by \textit{A. Prasad} and \textit{M. Kundu} [Integral Transforms Spec. Funct. 32, No. 11, 893--911 (2021; Zbl 1479.42019)] as linear canonical wave packet transform. In this paper, the authors extend the concept of linear canonical wave packet transform to quaternion-valued signals. Essential properties (including uncertainty principles) of this quaternion linear canonical wave packet transform (QLCWPT) are presented. Applications of QLCWPT are not given.
