      Let \(p\) be an odd prime such that \(p \geq 257\) and suppose that \((x, y, z)\) is a triple satisfying \[ x^p +y^p =z^p \] where \(x, y, z \in \mathbb{Z}_{\neq 0}\) and \((x, y, z)=1\) and \(p \mid z\). Then in the paper under review the authors show that \[ \max(|x|, |y|, |z|) \geq p^{(5/2)^{p-1}}. \]
