A monic irreducible polynomial \(f(x)\) belonging to \(\mathbb{Z}[x]\) having a root \(\theta\) in \(\mathbb{C}\) is said to be monogenic if \(\mathbb{Z}[\theta]\) is the ring of algebraic integers of the algebric number field \(\mathbb{Q}(\theta)\). In this paper, the authors construct infinite families of trinomials of the type \(x^n+ax+b\), \(x^n+cx^{n-1}+d\) having coefficients from \(\mathbb{Z}\) for \(n=5,6\) which are monogenic imposing some necessary and sufficient conditions involving \(a,b,c,d\) and \(n\). They make use of the Theorem of index of Ore. These results can be deduced from a more general result proved in [\textit{A. Jakhar} et al., Int. J. Number Theory 13, No. 10, 2505--2514 (2017; Zbl 1431.11116)] which gives necessary and sufficient conditions for a general irreducible trinomial \(x^n+ax^m+b\) belongs to \(\mathbb{Z}[x]\) to be monogenic.
