Summary: In this chapter, we give a short introduction to semiclassical analysis in strong magnetic fields. In particular, we consider how the insights obtained from this analysis can be applied to the study of atoms in strong magnetic fields, thus leading to a rigorous justification of the magnetic Thomas-Fermi theory. For the entire collection see [Zbl 1491.46002].
