The Zariski-Lipman conjecture asserts that in characteristic zero, an algebraic variety with locally free tangent sheaf is smooth. In this article, the author proves the special case of toric varieties: {Theorem~1.1.} Let \(X\) be a toric variety over \(\mathbb C\). Assume that the tangent sheaf of \(X\) is locally free. Then \(X\) is smooth. This theorem is not new (and the author clearly points this out). However, the proof presented here is different from the known approaches. It relies on \textit{A. A. Klyachko}'s description of toric reflexive sheaves [Math. USSR, Izv. 35, No. 2, 337--375 (1990; Zbl 0706.14010); translation from Izv. Akad. Nauk SSSR, Ser. Mat. 53, No. 5, 1001--1039 (1989)].
