This paper consists of two parts. The first part is devoted to the study of a class of perturbed initial value problems \[ y'(t)=f(t,y(t)+\epsilon(t,y(t))),\ t\geq t_{0}, \tag{1} \] with initial condition \(y(t_{0})=\alpha\), where \(f\in C([t_{0}, \infty] \times\mathbb{R}^{n},\mathbb{R}^{n})\) and possesses continuous partial derivatives with respect to \(x\) and \(\epsilon\in C([t_{0}, \infty] \times\mathbb{R}^{n},\mathbb{R}^{n})\). Here, the author relates the solutions of (1) to the unperturbed problem \[ x'(t)=f(t,x(t)),\ t\geq t_{0}, \] with an initial condition \(x(t_{0})=\alpha\). In the second part, the author considers a class of nonlinear Volterra integral equations \[ x(t)= g(t)+\int^{t}_{t_{0}}k(t,s;x(s))ds , \tag{2} \] where \(t\geq t_{0}\) and the kernel function \(k\) is finitely decomposable. By relating equation (2) to the initial value problems (1), he derives variation of parameters formula that provide the solution of (2).
