In this paper, the author studies the semilinear evolution equations \[ u(t)=U(t,s)u(s)+\int_s^tU(t,\xi)f(\xi, u(\xi))d\xi \text{ for }t\ge s \text{ and } s\in \mathbb{R}\tag{E} \] in a Banach space \(X,\) where \((U(t,s))_{t\ge s}\) is a generalized evolution family and \(f: \mathbb{R}\times X\to X.\) First the author proves that the semilinear evolution equations (E) have a unique admissible solution under the assumptions that the evolution family \((U(t,s))_{t\ge s}\) has the exponential dichotomy and that \(f\) has the Carathéodory property. The unique existence of the bounded solution and the periodic solution to the semilinear evolution equations (E) are studied, when \(f\) satisfies the condition \(\phi\)-Lipschitz, via Banach contraction mapping principle, while the existence of periodic solutions in the case that the function \(f\) does not satisfies the condition \(\phi\)-Lipschitz, is investigated via Schauder's fixed point theorem with noncompact version. Examples illustrating the abstract results are also presented.
