This manuscript has aimed to study the transmission patterns of antiretroviral therapy and the long-range diffusion of HIV-infected individuals in some heterogenous environments in China. If this modelling can be correctly established, it may be able to apply to other similar environments in other countries and help predict the use of the healthcare resources and economic burden over some years. Additionally, the authors have indicated that it is necessary to monitor the mobility of HIV-infected individuals between remote and urban areas in order to control the transmission of HIV/AIDS. Following this logic, it is necessary to understand the working life of this population so we can identify if it is the daily commute or one-off migration that has contrubuted to the transmission. This was not sought to be included in the modeling. There is no mentioning of the method of selecting 4 provinces in China. In the map we can see that the rates of HIV/AIDS are various across different Chinese provinces but we do not see how the this model can be utilised and applied to other provinces over years. The replication of this model prediction is lacking in this manuscript.
