In this paper, the authors suppose, unless specifically stated, that \(R\) is a prime ring of \(\operatorname{char} \neq 2\), \(U\) and \(C\) the Utumi ring of quotients and the extended centroid of \(R\), respectively, \(F\) and \(H\) two generalized derivations of \(R\), \(d\) non-zero derivation of \(R\) and \(f(\zeta_{1}, \ldots, \zeta_{n})\) a non-central multilinear polynomial over \(C\). Also, they denote by \(f(I)\) the set \( \lbrace f (x_{1}, \ldots, x_{n}): x_{1}, \ldots, x_{n} \in I\rbrace\) of all the evaluations of \(f(\zeta_{1}, \ldots, \zeta_{n})\) in \(I\), a non-zero ideal of \(R\). If \(R\) satisfies \(F^{2}(s)d(s)=H(s^{2})\) for all \(s \in f(I)\), then one of the following holds: \begin{itemize} \item[(1)] there exists \(a \in U\) such that \(F(x)=xa, H(x)=0\) for all \(x \in R\) with \(a^{2} = 0\), \item[(2)] there exist \(a, p \in U\) such that \(F(x)=xa, H(x)=[p,x]\); \(x\) for all \(x \in R\) with \(a^{2}=0\) and \(f(R)^{2} \in C\), \item[(3)] there exists \(a \in U\) such that \(F(x)=ax, H(x)=0\) for all \(x\in R\) with \(a^{2}=0\), \item[(4)] there exist \(a, p \in U\) such that \(F(x)=ax, H(x)=[p,x]\) for all \(x \in R\) with \(a^{2}=0\) and \(f(R)^{2}\in C\). \end{itemize} To achieve their results, they state some facts which are later employed to their work in the section: The case of inner generalized derivations and inner derivation.
