Invariant curves of almost periodic twist mappings (Q2172776)

The paper is concerned with the existence of invariant curves for twist mappings of the strip which are almost periodic with respect to the position variable. The periodic case corresponds to the dynamics on a cylinder, a classical topic in KAM theory. Here, a KAM-type result on the existence of invariant curves is presented in the almost periodic case, under a Diophantine condition for the frequencies and an intersection property for almost periodic curves which replaces the condition of the map being exact symplectic. The proof also uses the KAM strategy in the space of almost-periodic functions. The result is then used in the analysis of the Duffing equation with almost periodic forcing.
