An \textit{almost geodesic} of an affine connection is a parameterized curve whose tangent vector lies in a 2-plane which is parallel along the curve. The authors prove that the intersection of the unit sphere in Euclidean space with any affine 2-plane is an almost geodesic of the unit sphere, in the Levi-Civita connection.
