Let \(\mathcal{C}\) be a triangulated category with shift functor [1] and \(\mathcal{R}\) a rigid subcategory of \(\mathcal{C}\). Then by [\textit{O. Iyama} et al., Invent. Math. 172, 117--168 (2008; Zbl 1140.18007)], the restricted Yoneda functor \[\begin{array}{ll} \mathbb{H}: & \mathcal{C}\rightarrow Mod\mathcal{R} \\ & M\mapsto \text{Hom}_\mathcal{C}(-,M)|_{\mathcal{R}} \end{array} \] induces an equivalence \[(\mathcal{R}\ast\mathcal{R}[1]/[\mathcal{R}[1]])\cong mod\mathcal{R}.\] \textit{T. Adachi} et al. introduced \(\tau\)-tilting theory, which is a generalization of classical tilting theory [Compos. Math. 150, No. 3, 415--452 (2014; Zbl 1330.16004)]. \textit{O. Iyama} et al. gave a functor version of \(\tau\)-tilting theory [Algebra Number Theory 8, No.10, 2413--2431 (2014; Zbl 1305.18048)]. The aim of this paper under review is to classify all support \(\tau\)-tilting subcategories of \(mod\mathcal{R}\) under the above equivalence. In other words, the authors want to provide a bijection corresponding between support \(\tau\)-tilting subcategories of \(mod\mathcal{R}\) and ``certain'' subcategories of \(\mathcal{R}\ast\mathcal{R}[1]\). This problem has attracted much attention and has been studied by many authors. \textit{C. Fu} et al. considered the case when \(\mathcal{R}=addR\) where \(R\) is a rigid object [J. Algebra 520, 171--185 (2019; Zbl 1403.18012)]. \textit{O. Iyama} et al. considered the case when \(\mathcal{R}\) is a silting subcategory [Algebra Number Theory 8, No.10, 2413--2431 (2014; Zbl 1305.18048)]. Yang, Zhou and Zhu considered the case when \(\mathcal{R}\) is a cluster tilting subcategory [\textit{W. Yang} et al., Pac. J. Math. 301, No. 2, 703--740 (2019; Zbl 1454.16020)]. The authors of the paper under review introduce the notion of two-term \(\mathcal{R}[1]\)-rigid subcategories and two-term weak \(\mathcal{R}[1]\)-cluster tilting subcategories of \(\mathcal{C}\) (``two-term'' means that they are contained in \(\mathcal{R}\ast\mathcal{R}[1]\)). The following is the main result of the paper: The restricted Yoneda functor \(\mathbb{H}\) induces a bijection \[\Phi:\mathcal{X}\mapsto (\mathbb{H}(\mathcal{X}),\mathcal{R}\cap \mathcal{X}[-1])\] from the first of the following sets to the second: (I) Two-term \(\mathcal{R}[1]\)-rigid subcategories of \(\mathcal{C}\). (II) \(\tau\)-rigid pairs of \(mod\mathcal{R}\). It restricts to a bijection from the first to the second of the following sets. (I) Two-term weak \(\mathcal{R}[1]\)-cluster tilting subcategories of \(\mathcal{C}\). (II) Support \(\tau\)-tilting subcategory of \(mod\mathcal{R}\).
