In this paper, the authors study Hopf hypersurfaces in a complex two-plane Grassmannian \(G_2(\mathbb{C}^{m+2})\), \(m \geq 3\), with \(D^{\perp}\)-parallel normal Jacobi operators. They prove that if \(M\) is a connected orientable Hopf hypersurface in a complex two-plane Grassmannian \(G_2(\mathbb{C}^{m+2})\), \(m \geq 3\), with generalized Tanaka-Webster \(D^{\perp}\)-parallel normal Jacobi operator, then \(M\) is an open part of a tube around a totally geodesic quaternionic projective space \(\mathbb{H}P^n\) in \(G_2(\mathbb{C}^{m+2})\), where \(m=2n\). And here, we say that \(M\) is a Hopf hypersurfaces in \(G_2(\mathbb{C}^{m+2})\) if the Hopf foliation of \(M\) is totally geodesic, i.e., the one-dimensional foliation of \(M\) by integral manifolds of the vector field \(\xi\) defined by \(\xi = -J N\) is totally geodesic, where \(J\) is a Kähler structure and \(N\) denotes a local unit normal vector field of \(M\) in \(G_2(\mathbb{C}^{m+2})\) [\textit{I. Jeong} et al., Publ. Math. 76, No. 1--2, 203--218 (2010; Zbl 1274.53080)]. Also we recall [\textit{J. T. Cho}, Publ. Math. 54, No. 3--4, 473--487 (1999; Zbl 0929.53029)] for the definition the generalized Tanaka-Webster connection for all non-zero real number \(k\). When we look at their ideas we can see in the proof of the theorem above a sequence of results throughout the text where in the first step the authors use a result due to \textit{J. Berndt} and \textit{Y. J. Suh} [Monatsh. Math. 127, No. 1, 1--14 (1999; Zbl 0920.53016)], called Theorem A in this article, and in the second they use [\textit{H. Lee} and \textit{Y. J. Suh}, Bull. Korean Math. Soc. 47, No. 3, 551--561 (2010; Zbl 1206.53064)]..
