The paper is concerned with global algorithms for computing the maximal eigenpair. It continues a previous work by the first author [Lect. Notes Comput. Sci. 10591, 312--329 (2017; Zbl 1385.65030)] by improving the global algorithms in terms of a good use of power iteration and two quasi-symmetric techniques. The new algorithms are then applied to Hua's economic optimization model.
