This paper considers the Baldwin, Jeffery and Rosen coordinates for plane wave space-times. It shows where they become singular and that result implies that null infinity does not belong to these space-times. They can therefore not be used to study the properties of gravitational waves at null infinity, including memory effects and soft graviton theorems.
