The Fermi surface for periodic Schrödinger operators on quantum graphs is defined to be the zero set of a polynomial in several variables. The reducibility of the Fermi surface into the union of two algebraic sets gets significant attention as it has to do with the existence of embedded eigenvalues induced by a local perturbation of the operator. Reducibility or irreducibility of the Fermi surface has been established for a class of operators possessing reflectional symmetry. This paper intends to address the reducibility of the Fermi surface for non-reflectionally-symmetric operators. Particularly, the paper establishes the reducibility of the Floquet surface in terms of symmetry properties of periodic bilayer quantum graphs obtained by coupling two identical copies of a given periodic graph by edges connecting corresponding vertices.
