Approximation by trigonometric polynomials in weighted Morrey spaces (Q2179934)

\textit{C. B. Morrey jun.} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 43, 126--166 (1938; Zbl 0018.40501)] investigated the Morrey space to study the local behavior of solutions to elliptic differential equations. In this paper the weighted Morrey spaces and modulus of smoothness have been defined. Moreover, the direct and inverse problems of approximation theory in weighted Morrey spaces have been studied. A characterization of \(k\)-functionals in terms of the modulus of smoothness in weighted Morrey spaces has been obtained.
