This paper is concerned with the propagation dynamics for a time periodic nonlocal dispersal model with stage structure. The classical nonlocal periodic reaction-diffusion population model with stage structure has been studied by \textit{Y. Jin} and \textit{X.-Q. Zhao} [SIAM J. Math. Anal. 40, No. 6, 2496--2516 (2009; Zbl 1179.34031)]. In the case of unbounded spatial domain, Jin and Zhao established the existence of the asymptotic speed of spread and showed that it coincides with the minimal wave speed for monotone periodic traveling waves under the assumption that the birth rate function \(f(t, u)\) is monotone increasing in \(u\). Since the diffusion induced by Laplacian operator can only happen between adjacent spatial locations such as the Brownian motion, the authors introduced the nonlocal dispersal into the periodic system for a single species of population with age structure and obtained a periodic nonlocal dispersal equation with time delay and nonlocal effects. When the birth rate function is monotone, they established the existence of the spreading speed and its coincidence with the minimal wave speed for monotone periodic traveling waves by appealing to the theory developed for monotone semiflows [\textit{X. Liang} et al., J. Differ. Equations 231, No. 1, 57--77 (2006; Zbl 1105.37017); \textit{J. Fang} and \textit{X.-Q. Zhao}, SIAM J. Math. Anal. 46, No. 6, 3678--3704 (2014; Zbl 1315.35051)]. When the birth rate function is non-monotone, they first obtained the spreading properties by the squeezing technique combined with some known results for the monotone case, and then investigated the existence of periodic traveling waves by using the asymptotic fixed point theorem.
