      Consider the generalized Liénard polynomial system \begin{align*} \begin{split} \frac{dx}{dt}&= y, \\ \frac{dy}{dt}&= -g(x)-f(x)y \end{split} \tag{1} \end{align*} with deg \(g\) = deg\(f\)+1. The author corrects a result about Liouvillian integrability of system (1) published in the paper by \textit{J. Llibre} and \textit{C. Valls} [Bull. Sci. Math. 139, No. 2, 214--227 (2015; Zbl 1406.34045)].
