Let \(X\) be a simply connected finite CW-complex and \(p: E \longrightarrow X\) be a fiber bundle with structure group \(G\) and let \(\mbox{aut}_0 (p)\) denote the monoid of bundle maps \((\varphi, f)\) such that \(f :X\longrightarrow X\) is homotopic to the identity map and \(\varphi : E \longrightarrow E\) is a fiberwise isomorphism. Assuming that B\(G\) is a nilpotent space, the author constructs a dg-Lie algebra model for the classifying space \(\mbox{Baut}_0(p)\) in the sense of Quillen. There are significant simplifications of this model when \(G\) is a compact connected Lie group or when \(H^\ast (\mbox{B}G; \mathbb Q)\) is a free graded commutative algebra. A consequence is the following: If \(G\) is a compact connected Lie group, then the rational homotopy type of \(\mbox{Baut}_0(p)\) depends only on the rational homotopy type of \(X\) and the rational characteristic classes of the fibre bundle \(p\).
