Boundary control problem for a loaded string vibration equation (Q2185387)

The author considers the vibration problem of a one-dimensional elastic string in a rectangular domain. He obtains a necessary and sufficient conditions for the problem controllability under arbitrary initial and terminal conditions and constructs a closed analytical form of the control itself under these conditions. In addition, under the same conditions, an explicit analytical form of the desired controls is found.
