The authors consider a compact quotient \(X=\Delta ^n/\Gamma \) of the polydisc \(\Delta ^n\) equipped with the product metric associated to the hyperbolic metric on each factor. They extend a result of their own which corresponds to the case \(n=1\) [the authors, Am. J. Math. 134, No. 1, 259--283 (2012; Zbl 1241.53032)]. A lower bound is established for the volume of a purely one-dimentional complex analytic subvariety \(V\) in a geodesic tubular neighborhood with radius \(r\) of the diagonal \(D\subset X\times X\). This tubular neighborhood is defined by a \textit{factorwise} condition, and \(0<r\leq \frac{1}{\sqrt{n}}\rho _X\), where \(\rho _X\) is the injectivity radius. It is proven that \[\mathrm{Vol}(V)\geq 8\pi \sinh^2\bigl(\frac{r}{4}\bigr)\cdot N,\] where \(N\) is the number counted with multiplicity of the intersections of \(\pi ^{-1}(V)\) and \(\pi ^{-1}(D)\), where \(\pi \) is the blow-up of \(X\times X\) along the diagonal \(D\). This inequality is sharp since equality holds for a \textit{factor-diagonal-orthogonal} curve.
