The author studies properties of a singular \(S^1\)-invariant metric on a (trivial) vector bundle over the disc. Theorem 1.1 shows the connection between Lelong numbers for a negatively curved metric on a given vector bundle and (a version of) the integrability indices on the dual bundle. The theorem is then applied to two cases, to a global version of the strong openness problem (for spaces of holomorphic \((n,0)\)-forms on compact projective manifolds with values in semipositive line bundles) and to the \(L^2\)-extension problem for general ideals. In both examples one interprets a problem as a particular case of a family of problems depending on a real parameter \(t\) which is then considered as the real part of a complex variable \(z.\) The family of norms one wants to study can in this manner be regarded as defining a Hermitian metric on a trivial vector bundle over a disc or a halfplane and then one studies the behaviour of the norms as the parameter goes to the origin in the case of the disc (where the singularity of the metric appears) or to infinity in the case of the halfplane.
