Let us define a few tools used for the main results. Let \(M_1,M_2\) be two Riemannian manifolds, \(p:M_2\to M_1\) be a Riemannian covering map, i.e., \(p\) is both a smooth covering map and a local isometry. For \(k\in\{1,2\}\), we consider \(\pi_k:E_k\to M_k\), a bundle projection such that \(E_2\) is the pull-back bundle on \(M_2\), i.e., \(E_2:=\{(m_2,e_1)\in M_2\times E_1:p(m_2)=\pi_1(e_1)\}\). Let \(\Gamma(E_k)\) be a section of \(\pi_k\) and let \(D_k\) be a \(\Gamma(E_k)\)-valued differential operator on \(\Gamma(E_k)\). Right now, let us state one of the main results: The author states that if \(p\) is infinite sheeted and amenable, then the approximate point spectrum of \(\overline{D_1}\) (the closure of \(D_1\)) is contained in the Weyl spectrum of the closed extension of \(D_2\) (Theorem 4.1).
