Let \(\alpha>1\) be an irrational number and \(\beta\in[0,\alpha)\). In this small note, the author is concerned with the distribution of the sequence of parities (even or odd) of the sequence of integers \(\lfloor \alpha n+\beta\rfloor\). In particular, the author shows that the series \[\sum_{n\geqslant 1} \frac{(-1)^{\lfloor \alpha n+\beta\rfloor}}{(\ln n)^\sigma}\] converges for \(\sigma>3\) if \(\alpha\) is a badly-approximable number, and for Lebesgue-almost all \(\alpha\) if \(\sigma>4\). Additionall, they show that if \(\mu\) is the irrationality measure of \(\alpha\), then the series \[\sum_{n\geqslant 1} \frac{(-1)^{\lfloor \alpha n+\beta\rfloor}}{n^\sigma}\] converges for \(\sigma>(\mu-2)/(\mu-1)\).
