The problem of the equivalence of scalar second-order ordinary differential equations \[ \begin{array}{c} \dfrac{d^2y}{dx^2} = S(x,y) \Biggl(\dfrac{dy}{dx}\Biggr)^3 + 3R(x,y) \Biggl(\dfrac{dy}{dx}\Biggr)^2+\\ + 3Q(x,y) \dfrac{dy}{dx}\ + P(x,y) \end{array}\tag{1.1} \] is considered. Necessary conditions for the equivalence of the equation (1.1) to the fifth Painlevè equation with two and three zero parameters are obtained. An example is given.
