On derivation of the Poisson-Boltzmann equation (Q2194194)

The authors of this article consider the derivation of the macroscopic linearized effective Poisson-Boltzmann equation for the electrostatic potential that is associated with the electron density. They start from the microscopic reduced Hartree-Fock equation at positive temperature which is a simplified density functional theory equation.
